Wow!
2010! Are you serious? Where did 2009 go? Time just flying by!
So many great car events coming this year,..make sure you click on "appearances"
on the left column to find out where I'll be!
Well,..In January wrapped up the big
show at the Fairplex in Pomona, "The Grand
Daddy of them All",..the 51st Annual
Grand National Roadster Show! The longest running indoor car show in
the world! I'm exhausted! But it was fun!!
Probably one of my favorite
shows I'm part of is the "Cruisin' Nationals"
in Santa Maria California! What a great show this past Memorial Day
weekend!
Just back from the "Run Whatcha
Brung" car show June 12 in downtown Rialto, "Speedway Classic
Auto Swap Meet Expo July 10th, then "Oak Glen Car Show" is July 23rd,..The KOLA
99.9 "Casino Pauma" car show is August 8th! Whew! Then in September, I'll celebrate my 20th year as "The Official
Voice" of the Route
66 Rendezvous! in downtown San Bernardino!
A lot of people say: "how cool, you get to work at car shows!" Well
I have to admit, it is cool! it's very exhausting! Announcing sponsor names, while playing music, keeping spectators updated throughout the weekend on what's happening at the show for 10-12 hours a day gets to be a little tough. But
it's well worth it! And I love it!
First things first. This is my website, which means, it is in no way affiliated with where I work. Info & opinions in this site are mine and mine only. Just had to say that!
I am a Catholic Christian, and I love this country! And I love radio! I wouldn't be able to do what I do, say what I say, express & share myself with you on the air,...only in America.
I also believe that we all should do our part, whenever we can, to help our
environment. You know, don't litter, conserve energy, let's leave something for
our children & grandchildren!
I am so blessed! I have a great wife, and six children (yes, I said six!) who are all healthy and strong! My parents are still with me!...and, I'm living my childhood dream, I'm on the radio!
Well, 2009 is gone! As we kickoff 2010, we must ask ourselves and our politicians hard questions. One
question is this: "What are you going to do for the poor?" Forty seven million people in this great nation of ours have no health insurance. They can buy food or pay health insurance. They cannot do both. Half of the new jobs being created leave a family of four below the poverty line, future candidates for the soup kitchen. What's going on? Let's all pray that our elected officials make the right decisions for our country.
Matthew 5:3-6 says 3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 5 "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. (New American Bible)
Also we're almost 9 years removed from the September 11 tragedies.. Please join me in thoughts and prayers out to all the victims of the terrorist attacks on our great country as well as their families, and for all our military personal currently serving abroad.
I have provided some resources for encouragement as we continue to build our trust and confidence in our country and it's leaders.
Thank you, and may God bless you and your family, and may God Bless America!
