Are you kidding
me? It's
2013? Time just flying by!
This is my 30th year in radio. I started my career July 1983. Here I go
again, so many great car events left in 2013,..make sure you click on "appearances"
on the left column to find out where I'll be!
Well,..In January I was
at the Fairplex in Pomona, "The Grand
Daddy of them All",..the
Grand National Roadster Show! The longest running indoor car show in
the world! The Best of the Best!
Probably one of my favorite
shows I'm part of is the "Cruisin' Nationals"
in Santa Maria California! What a great show held on Memorial Day
weekend! Here's where I'll be in
2013:"Run Whatcha
Brung" car show, June in downtown Rialto, "Oak Glen Car Show" July.
I was sad when they told me that the Route 66 Rendezvous in San Bernardino had
been cancelled. I was there in the beginning, and I was there in the end,
23 years as the voice of the Rendezvous. I was the final recipient of the"Lifetime
Achievement Award" into Route 66 Cruisin' Hall of Fame last September.
Thank you everyone for your support.
A lot of people say: "how cool, you get to work at car shows!" Well
I have to admit, it is cool! it's very exhausting! Announcing sponsor names, while playing music, keeping spectators updated throughout the weekend on what's happening at the show for 10-12 hours a day gets to be a little tough. But
it's well worth it! And I love it!
First things
first. This is my website, which means, it is in no way affiliated with
where I work. Info & opinions in this site are mine and mine only.
(just so there's no misunderstanding)
I am a Catholic Christian, and I love this country! And I love radio! I wouldn't be able to do what I do, say what I say, express & share myself with you on the air,...only in America.
I also believe that we all should do our part, whenever we can, to help our
environment. You know, don't litter, conserve energy, let's leave something for
our children & grandchildren!
I am so blessed!
I have a great wife, and six children (yes, I said six!) and I'm a grandpa!! All are healthy and strong!
Sadly, I lost my Dad in January of 2012, 83 years old, cancer took the a rough &
tough old plumber. It's rough especially rough for my mother, they were married
63 years, she told me: "He's the only man I ever knew"..
As we continue through 2013, we must ask ourselves and our politicians hard questions. One
question is this: "What are you going to do for the poor?" Forty seven million people in this great nation of ours have no health insurance. What
about the unemployed? They can buy food or pay health insurance. They cannot do both. Half of
any the new jobs being created leave a family of four below the poverty line, future candidates for the soup kitchen. What's going on? Let's all pray that our elected officials make the right decisions for our country.
Matthew 5:3-6 says 3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 5 "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. (New American Bible)
I have provided some resources for encouragement as we continue to build our trust and confidence in our country and it's leaders.
Thank you, and may God bless you and your family, and may God Bless America!
